Examples of damage caused by Varroa

	<= Brood with full-blown American foul brood and European foul brood, typical of the final stage of varroatosis (weak colony). The same symptoms occur when the APV virus is injected by varroa mites during feeding.

Our idea... To find food sources in the plant world capable of helping bees to defend themselves better against external pressures. To reinforce the bees natural defence system, and the dynamics of the colony in order to provide improved control over the hive’s various biological cycles. Composition APIFORME is prepared from extracts of plants, it associates natural substances which act in synergy.

	<= Extract of stinging nettles, selected for its unusual richness in: Derivatives of formic acid. Mineral elements. Amino-acids. Vitamins.
	<= Extract of sorrel A natural plant source of oxalic acid. It acidifies food, improving the struggle against certain pathologies such as Nosema disease.
	<= Essential oils of thyme, lavender, eucalyptus, cajuput, tea-tree, chosen for their following properties: Fungicidal Bactericidal Acarifuge Acaricidal
	All the above ingredients are of plant origin free of GMOs.

Concentration

• All these elements are present in feeding doses and not therapeutic doses.

• Once diluted in the feeding syrup, APIFORME will be perceived by the bees as any other food source normally gathered from the surrounding flora.

Instructions for use

• Dilute the APIFORME food in bee syrup at the very beginning of spring and end of summer after the last harvest.

• Mix it with a soft bee candy or honey during the winter season.

• Any candy remaining at the end of winter can be diluted with a little water and used for spring feeding.

The benefits

• Any bee fed APIFORME immediately feels the benefits and resists winter hardships better.

• The different matrixes in the hive are impregnated with the oily vapours and benefit from the properties of these oils in spring and autumn, opportune moments of physiological change within the colony.

• The stores in the hive body are enriched with APIFORME, an advantage for the spring brood.

• The larval food surrounding the larvae, which also provides them with their nourishment, protects them at the bottom of their cell and continues to do so once the cell has been capped.

• The bees emerging the following spring will be physiologically stronger.

Conclusion

• The life expectancy of the human race has increased enormously over the last few generations, largely due to dietary improvements.
  Our objective with APIFORME is to gradually bring back the present imbalance in the health of bee colonies in the bee’s favour. This will be visible after two to three beekeeping seasons.
  APIFORME is not a medicament which acts at a given moment, but rather a way of encouraging the return to a positive, natural balance.
